How long does an item take to ship?
We wrap, pack and ship next day.
Can I buy the item online and pick it up in the store?
Yes! Add the item to your cart, select “In-store pick up”, and check out with PayPal. You will receive a web receipt by email. Bring the receipt to the store, show it to a store employee, and voila – the item is yours to take.
How do I cancel my order?
Go into your account -> My Orders -> Open -> then cancel.
What do I do if I haven’t received an order?
If you haven’t received an order, you should contact the store at 978.454.8877.
What do I do if I received the wrong order?
If you receive the wrong item, you should either contact the store or send back the item.
Can I exchange an item I bought for something different?
Yes, you may exchange your item if you physically go to the store and exchange your item for another item in that store.
What is Buya’s return policy?
All of the merchandise that is sold is money-back guaranteed with a refund policy (either 7 days or 14 days). This means that if you would like to return an item, you must notify us immediately.
I have returned my item; how soon will I receive my refund?
Once the item is received at our store your PayPal account or credit card will be credited.
I want to return an item. Who pays for shipping?
In most cases, buyers are responsible for return shipping costs.
We are governed and regulated by the City of Lowell, State and Federal laws. Each pawn transaction is for 120 days. That is followed by mailing you a letter identifying that your transaction has gone late. There is then a 10-daay grace period for you to make a payment, In addition to these mandated requirements we at Lowell Pawn, will telephone you and if provided will send you a text message in advance of your due date. How We Value Items
We use all the research tools we have at our disposal to determine an item’s value and get you the most money we can. This appraisal process for a pawn item varies depending on the type of item—for example, jewelry is evaluated differently than a guitar—but every appraisal is done with the intent of getting you the money you need.
What It's Worth - Authenticating Gold & Diamonds
When jewelry is the being pawned, our professionally trained staff will authenticate the precious metal and diamonds. We will always ask your permission to test your item before we begin the authentication process that includes a visual inspection using a jeweler’s loupe, weighing the item, sizing (determining carat weight) any diamonds and noting the cut/color/clarity of each. In addition, we will test the metal using jewelers acid which determines the karat of gold. This process does not damage your jewelry. It is done to ensure a clean test so there are no false readings on your item that may detract from what we can offer you.
Testing General Merchandise
When it’s general merchandise you want to pawn—TVs, stereos, DVD players, cameras, power tools, etc.—we will test each item to ensure it is in good working condition. That includes, but is not limited to, a visual inspection, plugging in an item and turning it on, and noting if any accessories are included. The better the condition of your item, the more money we can offer you. This is true for any item you bring in to pawn/sell.
New vs. Pre-owned
The prices we offer you for your items are based on pre-owned retail prices, not what the item cost when it was new. Any item that is sold to us as pre-owned and will be priced accordingly on our sales floor. The amount we give you is based on that anticipated selling price. Items are researched and reviewed to ensure that our offers are in line with the general marketplace for pre-owned merchandise.
Overall Condition of the Item
The condition of an item is always taken into account during the appraisal process for a pawn. If one 32-inch television comes in that is in perfect condition and one 32-inch television comes in with a chipped screen, we will pay more on the TV that is in better condition. This is true for any merchandise.
If you see something special in our store that you just must have, but you don’t have the cash on hand to buy it, no problem. We have an easy layaway program. Put down as low as 20% and have months to pay. Terms and conditions apply.
